Çorum Museum, which was opened in 1968, moved to its new building in 2000 which was then opened to visit in 2003. In the museum building, which is registered as “Immovable Cultural Asset to Be Protected”, there are Archaeological and Ethnographic exhibition halls which are structured separately from each other.

A chronological exhibition beginning from Chalcolithic Age found in Alacahöyük and Kuşsaray exhibitions is realized in Archaeology Hall. This is followed by the display windows in which Old Bronze Age Resuloğlu Graveyard Excavation findings and Alacahöyük excavation findings are being displayed. The burial ceremony pertaining to the Old Bronze Age Alacahöyük tomb which is being displayed in accordance with its original form is animated virtually. The visitors are able to obtain information interactively by touching the screen.

Through the screen next to the anaglyphic vases unearthed during the archaeological excavations carried out in Çorum (Boğazköy-Hattusa, Alacahöyük, Ortaköy-Shapinuwa, Yörüklü-Hüseyindede), and which have a special place among the unearthed Hittite artifacts within the museum collection, visitors are able to obtain interactive information about the artifacts. Besides, in the Hittite architecture exhibition area, it is possible to take a walk virtually with a Hittite chariot around the ruins of Hittite capital Hattusa. In the museum, the unique bronze sword with cuneiform writings on it belonging to Hittite king Tuthalia II (1430 B.C.), clay seal printed bullas found in the form of an archive during Boğazköy-Hattusa and Ortaköy-Shapinuwa excavations and cuneiform tablets are being displayed accompanied by drawings showing their usage in their respective periods. The Phrygian findings unearthed during Pazarlı excavation are followed by Boğazköy-Hattusa and Alacahöyük artifacts belonging to the same period. The displays of Galatian, Roman and Byzantian ceramic, glass, and metal artifacts succeed the Phrygian period. In this hall, a sundial dated to the Roman Period is being displayed together with its working system. Besides, there is a rich coin collection in the museum composed of Hellenistic, Roman provincial and official coins as well as coins belonging to Byzantian and Islamic periods in the museum.

Ethnography hall within Çorum Museum is where the examples of the Seljuk and Ottoman periods as well as those of contemporary Turkish art are displayed. In this hall, three shops that reflect the coppersmith, leblebi, and coffehouse cultures unique to Çorum are animated in accordance with contemporary museology understanding.
